Helena Jiříkovská began playing violin at the age of four. During her music studies in Pilsen, Prague,and Berlin, she attended many master classes, where she studied under the guidance of outstanding figures such as Jindiška Holotová, J. Tomášek, J. Tomeš, Eduard Grač, Alberto Lysy, Jacques Ghestem and Isaac Stern.
Helena Jiříkovská performs many concerts in the Czech Republic, plus numerous European destinations (Germany, Holland, France, Spain) as well as in Japan, Morocco, Canada, etc. As a soloist, she often performs with leading Czech orchestras. In 2000, she performed, together with the Bamberg Symphony, the Beethoven's Triple Concerto.
Helena has made many recordings for Czech Radio. As a concertmaster of the Talich Chamber Orchestra, she worked with a number of excellent artists such as Josef Suk, Charles Mackeras and Shlomo Mintz. She also collaborates with the Berlin Chamber Orchestra and, since 2001, has been a member of the Janáček Trio.
In June 2008, Helena Jiříkovská became the new concertmaster of the Škampa Quartet.
