Jaromír Nosek graduated first from the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague, in the field of choir conducting under Prof. Miroslav Košler. After that he fully focused on his main area of professional interest: having finished his opera singing studies at the Prague Conservatory in Jiří Kotouč`s class, he went on to the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague where he has been studying under Prof. Roman Janál since 2009. He frequently takes part in various vocal master classes (for example with Peter Kooij, Alessandro Svab or Joel Frederiksen). In August 2008 he attended courses at Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy, and in the 2010/2011 season he underwent a six-month internship at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome (Prof. Rebecca Berg and Prof. Sara Mingardo). He is a laureate of the Mozartian Dušek Vocal Competition in Prague and of the Vocal Competition of Pedagogical Faculties. A member of Collegium Vocale 1704, Jaromír Nosek specializes mainly on the interpretation of Rennaissance, Baroque, and Classicist repertoire. He also frequently performs in concerts with other Czech Baroque music ensembles, such as Musica Florea, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Inégal, or Capella Mariana. As a soloist he has cooperated with such orchestras as the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, and also with foreign ensembles: e.g. Solamente Naturali, Les Talens Lyriques or Doulce Mémoire. He has appeared at a number of international festivals both home and abroad, including the Prague Spring, the St. Wenceslas Music Festival, Concentus Moraviae, Festival de musique de la Chaise-Dieu, Dresdner Musikfestspiele, Settimana Musicale Senese, Festival de Sablé, Festival Alte Musik Zürich, Rencontres musicales de Vézelay, Festival de Música Sacra de Bilbao, etc.
