Jan Krejča

Born in Prague, Jan Krejča originally started performance on the Renaissance lute and then expanded his interests to include the theorbo and the baroque guitar. Currently he gives solo recitals and as a thought after basso continuo player he performs with many Czech and international ensembles (Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum, Ensemble Tourbillon, Ensemble Inégal, Capella Cracoviensis, Capella Anna, Les Traversée Baroque and others). He regularly plays at festivals including the Prague Spring, the Prague Autumn, Concentus Moraviae, the St. Wenceslas Music Festival and the Early Music Summer Festival. He has taken part in numerous critically acclaimed recordings including his own solo album „Intavolatura di Tiorba.“
