Ostrava Youth Orchestra

The Ostrava Youth Orchestra is a joint ambitious project by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Ostrava and the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, which offers a hands-on experience in a professional orchestral performance to their talented students. This project orchestra will regularly perform at the two most important festivals of classical music in the Moravian-Silesian Region – the St. Wenceslas Music Festival and the Janacek May. The premiere concert of the student orchestra will take place during this year's St. Wenceslas Music Festival. Under the baton of Italian conductor Paolo Gatto, audience will be able to enjoy the work of an Italian musical gourmet, Gioacchino Rossini, Stabat Mater.
