David Szendiuch
David Szendiuch started his studies at conservatoire in Brno under Sylvia Kodetová and graduated in 1994 under Josef Škrobánek. Since 2003 he has been a private student of Mr. Yuri Gorbunov, the National Artist of the USSR and the holder of the Thalia Award in the Czech Republic
In 2015 he graduated at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno in class of Marta Beňačková.
Between years 1994 and 1999 he became a member of the National theatre opera company in Brno. During this time he participated in performances in Japan, Israel and Australia.
In 1999 he accepted an offer of permanent engagement at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, where he works until now. He is a regular guest of the JK Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, the National Theatre in Prague and Brno, the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava, the State Opera in Banska Bystrica, and State Theatre in Košice.
David was given an award for an outstanding artistic performance as Leporello in the opera Don Giovanni (2002), and for the best male artistic performance of the 2004/2005 and 2006/2007 seasons by the audience of Moravian Theatre in Olomouc
Several times he has been nominated for the Thalia Award - in 2007 in a broader nomination for his portrayal of Attila (Moravian Theatre in Olomouc), in 2008 for best male opera performance as Giorgi Talbot (Moravian Theatre in Olomouc) and in 2013 in a broader nomination for the part of Henry VIII. (the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre).
David has collaborated during his professional carrier with many conductors such as T. Brauner, O. Dohnanyi, J. Fiore, P. Gatto, M. Ivanovich, L. Svárovský, R. Jindra, J. Klecker, T. Netopil, Ch . Olivieri-Munroe, M. Oswald, M. Peschík, j. Šrubař, J. Zidek, and many others.
