Helga Varga Bach

She studied singing at the Conservatory and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in class of Zlatica Livarová.  Devoting to concert activities, her core repertoire is dominated by works of the Baroque and classicism composers. The artist collaborates with domestic and foreign ensembles such as Arion Consort, Solamente naturali, Musica Aeterna, Musica Florea, Savaria Barokk Orchastra Chamber Orchestra F. Liszt. She has performed with many orchestras, including the Slovak Philharmonic, State Philharmonic Orchestra in Košice, State Opera in Banska Bystrica. With leading conductors - John Toll, Stephen Stubbems, Peter van Heyghenem, Anderwem Parrott, Nigel Perrin, she has participated as a soloist in vocal instrumental compositions by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Schubert and F. List.
She regularly performs with an excellent harpsichordist Soma Dinyés in vocal recitals presenting the works by early Baroque composers, but also premiered several works by contemporary Slovak composers, such as J. Hatrík, D. Matej, L. Bernáth and others. She performed at many festivals, such as the Melos Ethos, Convergence, Days of Ancient Music, Autumn Festival of Sacred Music in Olomouc, SPACE.
She has recorded for the Slovak Radio and together with the Musica Aeterna ensemble launched a CD with Vivaldi's Magnificat and Gloria, and Handel's Dixit Dominus Psalm. Since 1999, she has performed at the Slovak National Theatr in operas by W. A. Mozart - Don Giovanni, M. Dubovský - Mysterious key, P. Tchaikovsky - The Maid of Orleans, E. Suchoň - Krútňava.
Since 2011 she has been working as a teacher of singing at the Music School in Nové Zámky.
