Anna Číhalová-Nitrová

During her highschool studies in Olomouc she attended cello lessons and also was a member of a Concordia Olomouc choir. After that she graduated as a soloist singer from the University of Ostrava and than further improved her voice performance under the guidance of the soprano singers Natalie Romanova and Tatiana Teslia.
Since 1999 she is a member of the opera choir of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre under the leadership of Jurij Galatenko, where she became a solo singer in 2001. She was a finalist of the Mikulas Schneider-Trnavsky International Vocal Competition in 1998, and she was awarded a 2nd prize at the Musica Sacra International Competition in Rome in 2002. She also became a finalist of the International Antonin Dvorak´s Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary in 2005 and was a nominee of a prestigious award Thalia in 2007.
