Choir of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre
The quality of the opera ensemble has increased over time when Jaroslav Vogel was the head of the opera company. At this time were presented such challenging masterpieces as the Flying Dutchman, Meistersinger, Parsifal, Lohengrin, Valkyrie, Tannhäuser and many more. Opera Choir was greatly expanded.
Thanks to the leadership of Rudolf Vašata, who joined in season 1949/1950, was another great extension of the opera choir of up to 60 members.
Nowadays the opera choir of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre has 42 members (repertoire includes for example: operas Lohengrin, La Wally, The Rake, The Armida, The Cardillac and others). Recently, the opera choir also participated in several concerts – e.g. Czech opera gala concert, gala Urbanová and others.
