Anna Hlavenková

soprano

Highslide JS
Anna Hlavenková
Anna Hlavenková first started singing in a children’s church choir from which she later transferred to Brixi’s chamber orchestra/ ensemble/choir in Teplice. She successfully finished her studies at Teplice Conservatory of Music where throughout her studies she accepted the offer to cooperate with an ensemble Musica Antiqua Prague which specialised in interpretation of baroque music. With Musica Antiqua she attended a number of distinguished European festivals and participated in recording of several CDs and TV programs. Because of her lyrical soprano and clear style of interpretation she soon became a soloist much sought by many other musical ensembles oriented at authentic interpretation of baroque music. Amongst these were Musica Florea, Ad Vocem, Capella Regia Musicalis, La Vinciolina, etc. She is one of the founder members of the ensemble Verba Chordis. As a soloist of all these ensembles she performed at many European musical festivals, for instance Lufthansa Baroque Festival, Abbaye d´Ambronay, Prague Spring or Gottinger Handel-Festspiele. She cooperates with the radio and the TV and she released many of her own thematic CDs. In her concert activities her repertoire ranges from renaissance songs, European baroque songs up to contemporary music of well-known Czech authors. Since 1994 she has also been engaged in the project of the music of the 20th century and folk music with the choir Musica Bohemica of Mr J. Krcek. She regularly performs at concert tours in Spain with such pieces as Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. Her stage performances include amongst others the major role in Henry Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas in The Pilsen Theatre and Jan Zelenka’s Sub Ole Pacis with Musica Florea. Since 2005 she has been working as a tutor at the Conservatory of Music in Teplice.
