Tomáš Brauner
Tomáš Brauner is one of Czech’s the most sought after conductors, highly successful both in the symphonic and operatic field. Tomáš Brauner is currently the Chief Conductor of the Pilsen Philharmonic, and Principal Guest Conductor of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra. He was also appointed the Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra in September 2006.
In addition to these titled positions, Tomáš Brauner is working with leading orchestras and opera houses in Czech republic. In recent seasons. Tomáš Brauner’s guest engagements have included Prague Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic, Münchner Symphoniker, Südwestfalen Philharmoniker, The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Prague Philharmonia, Orchestra of Colours Athens, Prague Chamber Orchestra, The Chamber Orchestra of National Theatre Prague, The Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra Zlín, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc and The North Czech Philharmonic Teplice.
As an opera conductor, Tomáš Brauner made his debut in State Opera Prague in season 2008/09 Verdi's Otello and was immediately invited back to conduct Massenet's Don Quichotte. Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Boh?me, Tosca, Nabucco, Magic Flute and  new production of  Thomas´s Mignon.
Since 2007 Tomáš Brauner also has been  collaborating with The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava The J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen on productions of Don Giovanni Tchaikovsky's Maid of Orleans, Dvořák's Jacobin, Puccini's Turandot or Adriana Lecouvreur by Francesco Cilea. In Ostrava he also led the new production of Verdi´s Nabucco and Gounod’s Romeo and Julia and Verdi´s Ernani.
Tomáš Brauner is also guest of prominent international Festivals such is: Bad Kissingen, Prague Springs, Smetana´s Litomyšl, Festival Český Krumlov, The Festival of Richard Strauss in Garmisch Patern-Kirchen where Tomáš Brauner conducted Alpen Symphony
Born in Prague in 1978, Tomáš Brauner has degrees from Prague Conservatory of Music where he studied oboe and conducting and from Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He also studied a residency program of University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
In 2010 Tomáš Brauner became a laureate of The Dimitris Mitropoulos Conductors Competition in Athens.
