Lucie Hilscherová

The Czech mezzo-soprano Lucie Hilscherová (b. 1979) obtained the Master degree “with summa cum laude” in Solo singing (with Romana Feiferlíková, Ph. D.), as well as in Psychology and in Music Teaching at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. An Erasmus scholarship enabled her to study with Ursula Schönhals at the Chemnitz University (Germany). She attended master classes by Helen Donath, Hedwig Fassbender, Gabriela Beňačková or Dagmar Pecková. She has received a number of awards and prizes (International Competition “Musica Sacra Roma”, Cantilena Bayreuth, Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary, etc).
As a guest singer of the National Theatre in Prague, the State Opera Prague, the Chamber Opera Prague, the DJKT Theatre in Pilsen and the State Theatre Košice, she sang f. e. Mother Marie (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Emilia (Othello), Mrs. Reich (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Berta (Barbiere di Siviglia), Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro), Háta (The Bartered Bride).
She has an extensive concert repertory ranging from baroque to contemporary music, from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Händel’s Messiah to Mahler’s 2nd Symphony, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater or Stravinsky’s Les Noces. She has worked with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart des SWR, Bach-Collegium Stuttgart or Prague Philharmonia, under Libor Pešek, Jiří Bělohlávek, Helmuth Riling, David Porcelijn, Kaspar Zehnder, Till Aly, Petr Vronský, Petr Fiala, Leoš Svárovský or Jakub Klecker.
