Alfred Strejček

/actor, moderator, musician, director and pedagogue
graduated from the Theatrical Faculty at the Janacek Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, and went on to perform in many theatres in Prague and around the Czech Republic, such as the O.Stibora theatre in Olomouc, the J.Wolkr theatre, the Maringot theatre, E.F.Burian theatre, the National Theatre in Brno, the Za branou theatre, Viola, and Lyra Pragensis/. His resume also includes literary and poetic recitals. He has won many titles in national contests for professional actors and is holder of the Crystal Rose, his field‘s most prestigious honour.
His voice still resonates in the minds of both TV and radio audiences. He has created several film characters for film, TV and radio shows such as /Tři zlaté vlasy děda Vševěda, Podivná přátelství herce Jesenia, Smrt a blažená paní, Lásky hra osudná, Josefina, Kartouza Parmská, Quo vadis a j./. He is a sought after interpreter of melodramatic works and also cooperates with Czech Republic’s most renowned orchestras and conductors / CF, FOK, SOCR, Janacek quartet, Martin quartet, Graff quartet,
Musica Bohemica, Chaire, Jiri Belohlavek, Jaroslav Krcek, Josef Krcek, Jan Kucera, David Svec, Vladimir Valek/ He and Stepan Rak won a UNESCO award for their collaboration on Vivat Comenius, a performance in which they appeared in 34 countries on four continents in over 700 showings.
Alfred Strejcek has also presented as a professor of the arts at the Prague Conservatory and currently fills an external role as a pedagogue of rhetoric and communication skills at Palacky University in Olomouc.
