He collaborates with the Warsaw Chamber Opera, the National Opera in Brno (Oberon in B.Britten’s Midsummer Night Dream), as well as Polish and foreign philharmonics, orchestras and chamber ensembles, including Concerto Polacco, the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra, Concerto Koeln, Capella Cracoviensis, Solamente Naturali, Il Tempo, Musica Aeterna, Ars Cantus, Harmonia Sacra and Consortium Sedinum.
He gives concerts with such conductors and instrumentalists as Marek Toporowski, Paul McCreesh, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Andrew Parrott, Jan Tomasz Adamus, Konrad Junghanel, Paul Goodwin, Andreas Spering, Jarosław Thiel, Roberto Balconi, Fabio Bonizzoni and Nicolas Parle at prestigious music festivals in Poland and abroad (Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal, Slovakia, Scotland, Italy and others).
He highly values regular collaboration with Collegium Vocale Gent and Philippe Herreweghe.
Piotr Olech is especially fond of performing Baroque music, yet he often performs Classical, early Romantic and contemporary pieces (his achievements include the first performances of the pieces composed by, among others, Paweł Łukaszewski). He takes part in recording albums for such labels as CD Accord, DUX, Sony Music Polska, Bearton and Musicon. Three of them have won and several other have been nominated for the Fryderyk Award granted by Poland’s Phonographic Academy.
Along with his concert activity, Piotr Olech is also involved in education. He is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Music of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and collaborates with the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. He gives lectures and masterclasses focusing on Baroque vocal music performance.
