Wilbert Hazelzet

Wilbert Hazelzet is not only considered one of the leading Baroque flutists, but is also a recognized authority in the area of the Baroque flute. He performs as a duo with Jacques Ogg (harpsichord and fortepiano ) and in chamber music concerts with London Baroque (Medlam/ Seifert), Passamezzo Antico Bilbao, the Fritsch Quartett Leipzig, Musica Amphion Holland, Music for Awhile (Faultless) and Joachim held, lute.
He has been playing principal flute in Ton Koopman’s Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra for over thirty years, and participated in numerous radio and television productions throughout the world, as well as in recordings for various labels such as Archiv,DGG, Erato France,GLOBE Holland, Glossa Music Spain,Virgin Classics, Harmonia mundi Germany and edel-CLASSICS Deutschland.
Wilbert Hazelzet is professor at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and The Conservatory of the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Netherlands); he also teaches in summer courses for the Granada Festival, the University of Salamanca (Spain), Early Music Department of the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
