The St. Wenceslas Music Festival (SWMF) 2017 will take place between 4–28 September in 19 towns and municipalities. Visitors can look forward to 35 concerts and a rich accompanying programme. Exciting new events include discussions at the Knihcentrum Ostrava (the bookstore), film screenings at the Minikino Kavárna and a fine exhibition featuring photos from last year's festival. SWMF is developing a new modern format in order to appeal to the general public, especially to attract a young audience.
